When leaving camp, a tent is no more secure than someone else's pocket knife, but you can easily befuddle people who are opportunists or just plain nosy. After zipping openings closed, use a plastic wire tie (wire bundler) to secure the zippers together.
Wire ties are cheap, easily applied and a fast way to make your tent secure from most intruders except those with totally larcenous intentions. With a Leatherman tool, pair of side cutters or really sharp knife cut the wire tie and your tent is again accessible.
