Most people throw away their used foam earplugs after shooting or when coming off of the work site. Instead, put your earplugs in a convenient container until several sets have been accumulated. Dump those used, dirty earplugs into a cotton sock, tie a knot in the top, and put it through the washer with normal laundry. The sock contains the earplugs during the wash, allowing complete and thorough washing of the foam earplugs. After washing and drying, the earplugs are as good as new and ready to be reused. Common foam earplugs may be reused this way dozens of times!
